Review: Scream TV Series

If there are some of my readers out there that have not yet heard, I was super excitd a while back about a new TV series being released. The series was a spin-off of the Scream movies (the director of the movies, Wes Craven, played a part in the tv show as well…may be rest in peace).

Anyways, I told everyone that when I watched the show, I would let them know what I thought of it. After watching the entire first season, getting addicted and being mind-blown with the first ever season finale, it is safe to say that I don’t want to wait until next year for season number two!

I was a little skeptical when I read an article that informed everyone that the iconic killer mask in the movie was going to be changed for the show. After reading the aticle, I had a different understand and mutual respect for the reasoning behind it. After reading and learning, I decided to try and find a picture of the new face that would be haunting viewers dreams come June 30, 2015.

I succeded in my task and I must say, the new face of horror is quite terrifying. Very well created with the image of a realistic human face in mind but with an edge.

Moving from graphics to the actual plot of the show which aires on MTV…if you have watched even one out of the four movies, then you have an idea of the story, however…since this is a tv show, there are some differences that will allow the story to drag on while moving forward at the same time. For those who need an idea…a group of high school students are confronted with a horrific and confusing problem when one of them turns up dead. After that being said and to give you a better sense, I am going to qoute a character out of show… Noah, the video-game nerd states in one episode, “Once the first body is found, the blood bath soon comences.” Which is exactly what happens, people lose their lives and friends are left trying to get answers. They put the puzzle together piece by piece and when the truth is finally revealed, they learn the tormentor was right under their nose the entire time revealed in a season finale that every viewer saw, but yet didn’t see coming.

Season two will be unveiled sometime next year, when I get a specific date, I will let all of my readers know!

If this show seems like something you would be interested in…I use xfinity online. All of the episodes are available for free as long as you have cable through xfinity…if not, hulu is another option. I will also be watching for it on Netflix.

Thanks for reading Ladybugs and Manbugs! 🙂

Also, I apologize for my silence…life gets in the way sometimes!
